How to Properly Cite Our Pages for a Bibliography

The format for these citations is in MLA style. In almost all cases, the MLA sets the standards used by professional and scholarly works, but various institutions and instructors may vary. It is absolutely essential to properly document these pages if you use them, not only in a legal and scholarly sense, but also because we count on other students and teachers finding and using these pages.

For any online posting look for: Titles of books or other published works used by the site, the name of the site itself, the date the information was last updated, or the date you accessed it, the name of the editor, compiler or author, and the URL of the site or page cited. Citations from posting groups should also include the name of the poster, and the subject line of their post. Examples are shown below, which assume the citation is for the San Diego mission from a visit on September 24, 1998.
